Vitra also offers the DSR Eames Plastic Chair, which the designer duo Ray and Charles Eames designed in 1948, in a version with a comfortable seat cushion. For many lovers of early industrial architecture, the filigree, light and airy chrome base of the Plastic Side Chair is reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The black powder-coated base is complemented by an organically shaped seat shell made of easy-care, solid colored polypropylene and a comfortable upholstered cushion in the color blue. The fabric still looks very good (not pilled) and the white seat shell shows virtually no signs of use.
