Set of 6 vintage 70s design tulip/tub chairs + 2 side tables by OWI (Germany) & Cofemo (Italy) Included in the set: 6x tulip chairs 2x side tables 1x umbrella stand/wastebasket Manufacturer: OWI Germany & Cofemo Italy Designer: Oskar Winkler Year: 1970s Provenance: Germany Material: cast aluminum, plastic Dimensions chair: 80 cm high x 60 cm wide x 50 cm deep Dimensions table: diameter of 60 cm x 45 cm high (table top thickness of 2 cm) Description: An exceptionally complete set of 6 chairs, 2 side tables and 1 umbrella stand. The seats are made by OWI and the tulip feet by Cofemo the chairs are in very good condition. All 6 have signs of use at the base, armrests and back of the back appropriate to their age. (See photos). Completely original, including original seat surfaces. The chairs are still very nice white with minimal discoloration. This type of chair can rotate 360 degrees and is very comfortable because of the armrests. They have been taken apart, thoroughly cleaned and re-lubricated so they will last many years again. The design tub chairs with a tulip base is reminiscent of the famous Knoll Saarinen tulip chair & the Arkana Maurice Burke swivel chair which sell for many hundreds to thousands of euros each. The 2 side tables with the same tulip feet & the white umbrella stand (which can also be used as a trash can) complete the set.
