Great set of no less than six Mies van der Rohe chairs. These chairs were designed by Mies van der Rohe back in the 1920s. Several world-famous brands put the chairs into production, including Thonet, Bononia, Gavina and Tecta. The manufacturer of these particular chairs is not known. Van der Rohe is considered one of the most important figures in international architecture. One of the characteristics of his designs is minimalism; this is certainly evident in these beautifully shaped chairs.
The chairs are in good condition. The thick, firm leather has been treated with organic beeswax to restore its suppleness. There is patina present on the leather. The chrome frames have been polished, are in good condition with signs of use. One chair has tears present under the seat.
