Beautiful set of Mid - Century/vintage dining chairs, type 'Monaco' by Dutch brand Mahjongg from Vlaardingen; period 1960s.
A Scandinavian 'look and feel' but just pure Dutch craftsmanship. By now also quite rare and hard to come by, especially in this condition.
Elegant organically shaped teak, combined with light gray blended furniture fabric. The chairs have been reupholstered and filled with new cold foam. As a result, they are comfortable again and can last for decades. We have treated the wood with furniture oil.
The design of this Monaco chair is also attributed to the Danish designer Johannes Andersen who also worked for Udem Möbelfabrik.
Dimensions: H (up) = 84 cm, H (seat) = 47 cm, W = 50 cm, D = 50 cm.
