Product description
The Fritz Hansen Series 7 Butterfly Chair White is an iconic 1955 design by Arne Jacobsen. The seat is made of bent plywood, a technique that was really in its infancy at the time. Arne Jacobsen also made the precursor to the Series 7 Butterfly Chair - the Ant Chair - from bent plywood and perfected the technique for the butterfly chair. He was inspired by Charles and Ray Eames, who were the first to successfully make some furniture out of plywood. This innovative production method made it possible to give the Series 7 Butterfly Chair an organic and charming interplay of lines, giving the chair the nickname "butterfly chair. Its recognizable design also made it incredibly popular and even Fritz Hansen's best-selling chair ever. Not only by Fritz Hansen itself by the way, as the butterfly chair has been copied incredibly often. But the original is really only available from Fritz Hansen. The seat height of the Series 7 Butterfly Chair is 46 centimeters and the chair is 82 centimeters high, 50 centimeters wide and 52 centimeters deep. Pick up in Rotterdam
