The above "upholsteries" are developed by Cooloo. Cooloo develops application techniques that allow them to replace the upholstery process in a sustainable way. By using local waste streams such as leather, cork, jeans, metal and concrete, they can give furniture a new look and feel without having to use new materials.
The seat is coated with Cooloo's Econcrete coating. This coating consists of industrial waste combined with a Bio-based binder. Coating this designer chair with a layer of Econcrete is the perfect way to give it new life, not only for the cool look and feel but also because this coating has a slight flexibility, is tear and stretch resistant, which is necessary for this chair.
