This Leucos floor lamp model "Alba" (Sunrise) and its two matching Memphis-style wall lamps have a turquoise blue glass shade decorated with yellow dots designed by Renato Toso and Roberto Pamio for Leucos in 1980. The chalices are made of mouth-blown Murano glass. Italian designer and architect Renato Toso creates beautiful mid-century modern pendant and wall lamps from Murano glass. His designs have a chic retro look characterized by effortless elegance. He is part of the design firm Toso, Massari & Associates, which he founded with his wife, designer Giovanna Noti Massari. Toso, Massari & Associati has worked with numerous companies over the years, including lighting company Leucos, of which Toso and Massari were co-founders. Leucos has built a solid reputation with their extensive selection of intricately designed lighting fixtures. Working with top architects and top designers, Leucos continually pushes the boundaries of lighting design through their own innovative research and experimentation. The studio has designed collections for the historic lighting manufacturer Vistosi, one of Murano's leading glassmakers. The studio has won first prize in several design competitions, including the Venice Biennale and the Milan Triennial. Its work has been exhibited at the Louvre in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. With the prestigious labels "VM Vetri Murano" and "Leucos, Handcrafted Made In Italy," these unique pieces demonstrate the craftsmanship and quality synonymous with the Leucos brand. The lamps offered are in excellent condition. As far as we know, the wall lamps are no longer for sale anywhere. Dimensions floor lamp: h x w x d = 191 x 30 x 23 cm. The floor lamp is standard equipped with a beautifully designed Relco 100-500W dimmer.
