Set of three beautiful and rare dining chairs from series 7 (model 3107) by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen in teak.
The chairs were part of the original furnishings from 1957 of the former Leitz (Leica) administration building in Wetzlar. This is therefore the first edition after the chair was launched in 1955. The building is a listed building. Today it houses the new town hall of the city of Wetzlar. Two pictures of the building at that time can be found at the end of the advertisement.
All three chairs have a Fritz Hansen manufacturer's mark on the underside and are in very good condition with signs of use typical of their age, which you can see in the extensive product photos. The seat shells are all stable and fully resilient. They have been treated with a polish.
Dimensions per chair:
77cm H x 49cm W x 50cm D, seat height: 43cmThe chairs were last used in a pet-free, non-smoking household and only show signs of wear typical of their age, which you can see in the photos.
