The Vitra DAR Cockpit white was designed by Charles & Ray Eames. They presented the Plastic Chair Group designs on the occasion of the "Low Cost Furniture Design" competition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In 1950, these organically designed plastic chairs actually came on the market.
This is a white tub chair with a chrome frame.
