Very rare Bastille chair designed by Piet Blom around 1965. Blom is a Dutch architect Famous for the Cube Houses in Rotterdam. Only 400 Bastille chairs were ever produced and fewer have survived the test of time. The chairs were originally designed for the Technical University of Twente and are named after the cafeteria; 'The Bastille'. The chair is made of lacquered wood in constructivist style, an homage to 'De Stijl'. In vintage condition.
