These side tables were personally imported from Thailand by me 12 years ago. The name of the design is "Big Sur" and they are by designer Rangsan Narathasajan. With his brand NIIQ he was a pioneer of minimal design in Bangkok. There is a website where his design is for sale. O.a. 5 star resorts are among his clients.
At the time there were some in stock and I selected the ones with the most beautiful wood grain. They are made from a single piece of a tree trunk and partially hollowed out. Nevertheless, they still weigh about 20 kg each. The designer indicates that the type of wood is "rain wood".
