Danish MCM Minisol space age pendant lamps were designed by K. Kewo for Nordisk Solar Kompani. These vintage lamps have a mid century modern look, inspired by a 1960s design by K.Kewo for the Danish Nordisk Solar Compani. The striking lamps are made of ABS plastic in a bright yellow color and add a nice accent to any (Danish) modern interior. They provide direct light, making them ideal for use above kitchen tables, dining tables or coffee tables.
Each lamp comes with the original Bakelite lamp holders E27 with strain relief, as well as original yellow cords of 1 x 60 cm and 1 x 190 cm (if necessary, the longest piece can be divided in half). In addition, two original yellow ceiling roses (rare) are included. The price is for a set of two lamps.
The diameter of each lamp is 23 cm and the height is 19 cm. The total weight is 1090 grams (for 2 lamps)
Danish lighting manufacturer Nordisk Solar was founded in 1919 and is known for its mid-century modern pendant lights and lighting designs with tiered shades from the 1950s and 1960s.
Light bulbs are not included, but I recommend using a new generation (LED) lamp that emits little heat.
Both lamps are in excellent vintage condition, without damage, cracks or chips, but there may be barely noticeable signs of wear due to use and age. One of the ceiling roses has 2 cracks and is glued.
