Product description
The LEM bar stool was designed by Tomoko and Shin Azumi for the Lapalma brand. The Italian company Lapalma specializes in design furniture with a sustainable character. They do this by working mainly with metal and wood and limiting the use of plastic as much as possible. Tomoko and Shin Azumi developed their LEM furniture from 2000 and continue to add new variants on a regular basis.
The LEM S80 bar stool seat stainless steel 66-79 cm is named after the Lunar Excursion Module, which NASA astronauts used to land on the lunar surface in 1969. The furniture got that name because it is height adjustable. To this end, there is a gas spring lever under the swivel seat. The seat is made of stainless steel and has a low backrest at the back. At the front, the seat is extended, with the lower part transforming into a footrest.
The seat height is adjustable with the lever from 66 to 79 cm. Including the backrest, the height of the LEM S80 bar stool seat stainless steel 66-79 cm varies between 74 and 87 cm. The chromed metal base stands on a base plate with a diameter of 37 cm. Under this base are felt glides. The overall depth of the seat is 42 cm.
There are some very superficial scratches on the front of the seat, barely noticeable. The signs of use are very minimal.
