Discover these stunning vintage stools from 1980s design icon. This KARTELL Polo stool, designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri, has a unique blend of metal and plastic. It is not just a stool, it is a piece of Italian design. The small back adds to its comfort and charm. Anna Castelli Ferrieri was an Italian architect and industrial designer. She is best known for her influence on the use of plastics as a mainstream design material and her co-founding of Kartell, an Italian modern furniture company. Anna Castelli Ferrieri won numerous awards, including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro, an industrial design award given by ADI to recognize and promote high quality designs. Her work is still in production and that speaks volumes.
Despite its signs of use (photos are part of the presentation), the construction of the stools remains sturdy and in excellent vintage condition. There are some scuffs from the protective coating, but these only add to its character and story.
