Giorgetti's Progetti series was designed in 1987 by Giorgetti's own design team. The Progetti series consists of armchairs, wing chairs and 2-seater sofas. These pieces of furniture have since become true style icons and can be found not only in many homes, but also in restaurants, lounge areas or hotels, such as the Four Seasons Residences in America. After the original design, several variants were released, such as a leather variant and a model with a special stitching method in the shape of a flower; the Progetti Blossom.
The armchair was inspired by antique walking sticks. These are visible on the front of the armchair. Over these wooden armrests, the upholstery falls like a cloth. The armchair is made of Pau Ferro wood. This is an exotic Zud-American type of wood, which has minimal grain and a fine natural texture.
