Additional markings below the candle insert stating "om yern" or "om yeron" and "zinn". This pair of pewter candlesticks exemplifies the flowing, organic design characteristic of the Art Nouveau movement. Attributed to Hugo Leven, a leading designer of the Art Nouveau era, these candlesticks showcase the elegant nature-inspired motifs that were characteristic of Leven's work. The design is included in a number of museum collections, including the MoMA in New York. Condition: good.
