Photographer: Helge Heinonen This photographer's career developed from process engraver at a printing company to member of a photo club. From self-taught, he grew into an esteemed press photographer. As early as the 1950s, while still working as a process engraver, Heinonen photographed for newspapers and magazines in Helsinki, such as the Urheilun Kuva-aitta. Helge Heinonen eagerly participated in Finnish and foreign photo competitions, where he regularly won prizes. For example, he won one of the prizes at "the World Press Photo Contest," this photo can still be found on the World Press website at the year 1962.
