Monumental art glass vase by Luigi Onesto Murano circa 1960s. This is a rare and special vase in that it is pre- Vetreria Artistica Oball. Large thick walled sommerso glass in cloudy grey colour with red and white stripes running through. The glass has an almost holographic effect when viewed under daylight. Large vase, weighing in at approximately 3.7kgs. Signed on the base 'Onesto Murano'. Excellent condition. Perfect without chips or cracks.
There are some light surface scratches to the base. This is consistent with age and use and does not detract form the beauty of the glass.
