Product description
Manufacturer: Louis Poulsen Design: Verner Panton Dimensions: H 130 cm x Ø 50 cm Provenance: Denmark Model: 28715 Material: plastic - metal Period: 1970's Electrical: E27 socket - 110/220V - push switch - European plug Condition: Excellent condition - hardly used with minimal signs of use and signs of age - the shade has 3 wafer-thin hairline tees in the middle however not distracting - other condition nice - original and working. Brand: Louis Poulsen (designed by Verner Panton in 1971) Danish design classic. Nice clean original 1st edition floor lamp by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen, 1972. The original edition has the on/off switch integrated in the base, and not -as recent models- on the cord. The design was inspired by the mushroom-shaped cloud left behind by a neutron bomb when it is detonated; such as at Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. This is an all-time design classic by one of the most influential designers of the 20th century, mainly for his Space Age designs, Verner Panton. It was manufactured by Louis Paulsen Denmark, in the early 1970s. The lamp is numbered and labeled under the base with the manufacturer's name. There are some signs of use visible, but considering that the lamp is 50 years old, it is in amazingly good condition. it comes with an original 3-stage sorting lamp. This lamp works with the switch for a 60W, 100W, 160W light intensity. The lamp is still wired for this, so it works immediately as it should when this lamp is used. Please note that these lamps are no longer made and are extremely rare if you use a regular lamp, you have to press the switch twice to turn it on and twice to turn it off.Around the standing leg there are some cracks this has been reattached and glued.Works well again now.But this part always remains a weak point with these lamps. The often minimal signs of use give a glimpse into the life of the previous owner. The extent to which these traces of use are present is stated in the description. Photos are part of this description. So please look at these carefully. Vintage (read: used) items sometimes show color variations, uneven wear and/or normal wear. Please take this into account when purchasing.

some cracks around the leg and some discoloration
