Rare and absolutely gorgeous Italian antique gilded wood jewelry organizer box / tabletop chest featuring hand-painted decorations in gold, coral, baby blue and white in the classic Florentine Louis XV style. This medium-sized, multi-compartment box is ideal for storing jewelry, makeup, medicine, or other small treasures. The box features a detailed, ornamental blood coral-colored exterior with intricate gilded decorations. It has seven compartments (three small & four bigger drawers) lined with soft yellow fabric. On the back, the chest has been hallmarked with V.G Florence, and Made in Italy. Works of V.G Florence can be found at display in museums, showcasing classic Florentine designs. The Florentine style was popular especially in the mid 19th century Italy, reflecting the Renaissance-inspired designs and furnishings.
Condition: In good antique condition for its age with well-functioning drawers. There is charming patina and visible age-related wear on the gilding and paint. Please see the photos for details!
