Early in his career, Wagner worked for renowned design companies such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz, where he was involved in the design of luxury cars. He then began to focus on the design of industrial products, such as lighting, furniture and home accessories. Wagner's design style is often described as industrial, with raw materials such as steel, raw wood and concrete. His designs are often clean and simple, with a focus on functionality and durability. Among his best-known creations are the "Berlin" floor lamp, the "New York" armchair and the "Tokyo" coffee table. Wagner's creations have been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world and have won numerous prestigious design awards. Today, Robert Wagner continues to work as a freelance designer and also teaches industrial design at the University of Stuttgart.
