Takahama has worked with many renowned Italian designers, such as Mario Bellini and Achille Castiglioni, and has contributed to the design of numerous products for brands such as Knoll and B&B Italia. Some of his most famous creations include the "Soriana" armchair for Arflex and the "Lucellino" lamp for Ingo Maurer. Over the course of his career, Takahama won numerous prestigious awards, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1962 for his work with Gavina and in 1979 for the "Selene" chair he designed for Cassina. His creations have been exhibited in museums around the world, including New York's Museum of Modern Art and London's Victoria and Albert Museum. Kazuhide Takahama is considered one of the most influential designers of his generation, and has helped shape modern Italian design.
