Picasso was born in Malaga, Spain, and studied art in Barcelona before moving to Paris in 1900. He quickly became a key figure on the Paris art scene and began experimenting with innovative artistic styles. Over the years, Picasso created works of art in a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, engraving, ceramics and design. His designs included theater costumes, sets, furniture and objets d'art. One of his most famous design projects was his collaboration with French furniture manufacturer Thonet Frères in 1929. This collaboration led to the creation of a collection of bentwood furniture, which was exhibited at the 1937 Exposition Universelle in Paris. Picasso died in 1973 at the age of 91, leaving behind an immense and lasting artistic legacy. His works are exhibited in museums around the world and remain a source of inspiration for artists and designers today.
