Lenci began his design career working for leading Italian brands such as Poltrona Frau, Cappellini and Knoll International. He is best known for his furniture designs, which are often characterized by organic forms and innovative materials. In 1972, Lenci founded his own design company, Lenci Design Studio, in Florence. Since then, he has worked on numerous design projects for Italian and international companies, including Artemide, Olivetti and Siemens. Lenci's creations have been exhibited in museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. In 2002, he was awarded the prestigious Compasso d'Oro prize for lifetime achievement. Fabio Lenci is considered one of the most important Italian designers of his generation. His contribution to the world of design is remarkable, for he has combined aesthetics with functionality to create design objects that are both beautiful and practical.
