Johansson-Pape worked for several design companies in Finland, including Orno, where she created many of the most popular lighting fixtures of the 1950s. Her designs were known for their elegant simplicity and functionality, and for their use of modern materials such as stainless steel and glass. During her career, Johansson-Pape received several awards for her creations, including the gold medal at the Brussels World Fair in 1958. Her designs have been exhibited in museums and art galleries around the world, and she is today considered one of the greatest Finnish designers of the 20th century.
