He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, where he developed his drawing and design skills. After graduating, he worked for a number of companies, including Georg Jensen, where he created elegant watches and modern clocks. In 1952, he founded his own company, Henning Jensen Design, which soon specialized in the design of high-end watches for brands such as Longines and Universal Genève. Jensen also worked in the automotive industry, where he designed the bodywork for the Volvo P1800, an iconic sports car of the 1960s. Throughout his career, Jensen received numerous awards for his design achievements, including the Prix Lunning in 1951 and the Grand Prix de l'Horlogerie de Genève in 1972. He is considered one of Denmark's most influential designers, and his work continues to inspire many designers today.
