Hospodka worked for the famous Czech glassworks Chřibská, where he developed a number of innovative techniques for glass production. He also worked for the famous Moser glassworks, where he created elegant, modern crystal pieces. One of Hospodka's best-known works is the Chřibská glass lamp, which won a gold medal at the Brussels World Fair in 1958. He also designed wine glasses, decanters, vases and other glass pieces for numerous companies. Hospodka was a highly respected designer in Czechoslovakia and won several awards for his work, including a gold medal at the Montreal World's Fair in 1967. His contribution to glass design is considered an important part of Czech cultural heritage.
