It's easy to recognize Guillerme's creations by the materials used: waxed oak, the light hue obtained by working with the wood's tannin, and the darker hues due to iron oxide. The company Votre Maison des deux hommes has left its mark on the history of French design. Robert Guillerme graduated top of his class in 1934 from the Ecole Boulle. Particularly brilliant in furniture design and architecture, he joined the Rogie workshops. Jacques Chambron graduated from the Ecole des Arts Appliqués de Reims and worked as a painter-decorator in his own studio. Chambron decided to move to Lille in 1948. Guillerme and Chambron met after the war, and became acquainted with Emile Dariosecq, owner of a cabinet-making workshop. A year later, they founded the company Votre Maison. Guillerme designed, Chambron assisted customers and the Dariosecq workshops manufactured the furniture. They quickly met with great success, producing a wide range of furniture. Jacques' son takes over the business.
