In the early 1950s, Giraud began working for the famous French furniture company Meubles TV. He went on to work for other companies such as Airborne, Steiner and Artifort, where he created modern, functional furniture. Throughout his career, Giraud received numerous awards for his design work, including the Grand Prix of the Milan Triennale in 1960 and 1964. His creations are characterized by simple, uncluttered forms and the use of modern materials such as metal and plastic. Louis Giraud is considered one of the most important designers of his generation, having influenced many contemporary designers.
