Early in his career, Busquet worked for major companies such as Philips and Hala Zeist, designing lamps and luminaires. He is best known for his famous lamp design, the 'Reflex' desk lamp. This lamp is characterized by its elegant, simple shape, chromed metal base and flexible lamp head, which allows light to be directed where it's needed. In addition to his work in industrial design, Busquet also taught at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts, where he trained several talented designers. H.Th.A. Busquet died in 1977, but his design legacy continues to inspire many designers today.
