Bonetto began his design career working for the Olivetti company in the late 1950s, where he contributed to the design of several products, including typewriters and calculators. He also worked for other prestigious brands such as Kodak, Braun and Yamaha. Over the course of his career, Bonetto won numerous prestigious awards for his achievements in industrial design, including the Compasso d'Oro, Italy's highest design distinction. He is best known for his creations in the fields of technology and transportation, notably his designs for the Italian public transport company ATM, as well as for bicycles, motorcycles and cars. His innovative approach to design has won him international recognition, and his work continues to inspire designers the world over. Rodolfo Bonetto died in 1991 at the age of 62.
