In the 1980s, the two designers teamed up to create the Charlie office chairs, published by Segis. The curves of this model are particularly original. Not only are these chairs aesthetically pleasing, they are also easy to stack. Bimbi was born in Italy in 1944. He graduated from the Florence Art Institute. His work is influenced by a rational approach, favoring logic over trends. He has taken part in numerous exhibitions, including "Italy: The new domestic landscape" at MoMa. Giocchini also studied art in Florence. His creations stem from a methodological and concrete approach, far removed from trends and conventionalism. His work has appeared in various design magazines and catalogs. He has collaborated with major Italian brands such as Ceramica Catalano and Hatria Marazzi. Bimbi and Giocchini began their collaboration in 1970 with the creation of Studio Internotredici Associati (closed in 1985). Both are highly regarded designers in the design world.
