Biography A graduate of the National Academy of Arts, he soon developed a passion for design, shapes and materials such as rosewood, teak, steel and leather. His most famous pieces are the Broadway chair (1958), the Form chair (1960) and the Krobo multipurpose bench (1960). His greatest reward is certainly the purchase of furniture designed by President John F. Kennedy and the Emperor of Japan. In Norway, Afdal is regarded as a true design legend.
