Product description
Exceptional set of similar table lamps/desk lamps. They have all been restored in the same way and are only sold as a set. They are in exceptionally beautiful condition. The SoLR (Solersol) table lamps were created by Ferdinand Solère in 1952 at 29 Rue Fontaine au Roi in Paris 11th. Fredinand-Simon (Antoine) Solère holds several patents under his name, filed between 1927 and 1979. He designed and produced a large number of machines, various drawing instruments and industrial lamps. Over the years, SoLR or Solère Paris has developed a range of lamps with an ovoid lampshade to illuminate a wide working area. The original SoLR lamps are made of aluminum and always stamped with the Fardinand Solère logo on the lampshade. The lampshade in the shape of a UFO is typical of the 1950s because this was the period where many so-called UFO sightings took place. Many designers were inspired by this in that period and often used saucer-shaped shapes in their designs. SoLR lamps are rarely offered because there are few usable examples left. The light aluminum hoods have often not survived the test of time or are so dented that they can no longer be restored. This set of lamps is a rarity and has very minimal testimonials from their past and is in beautiful condition. These table/desk lamps are very sought after because they fit into any vintage, industrial and modern interior and excel in simple industrial design with a beautiful wide light beam. Combine them with black steel, weathered wood, oak furniture or even a very modern interior, and they complete the look. This first edition lamp from the 1950s is a must have for anyone looking for authenticity, design and originality. You can find the patent for the Solère lamps in the photos. The value of this model increases year after year and will continue to do so in the future. These copies are of very nice quality with vintage anthracite wax finish. The lamps were completely disassembled and restored with an eye for originality. The cabling was completely renewed with a twisted retro cable, new switches and new retro plug. The lamps and switches work perfectly. The lamp and fitting are original and of the B22 'bayonet' type. These pears are still sold new and are not difficult to find at all. If you are looking for spare lamps or replacement lamps for this lamp in the future, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can deliver them to you. In any case, they can also be found online in LED version and cost the same price as lamps with a normal swivel fitting. When you purchase this set, it will already contain new lamps. The lamp can be modeled in many different positions and made longer or shorter by means of the telescopic system. At its maximum length the lamp is approximately 80 cm and at its shortest 40 cm.
