Wooden work table with an authentic wooden frame. The work table has been restored whereby the existing top has been reattached to the original wooden frame. The beautiful details of the frame are striking, such as the steel square nuts and bolts that connect the beams of the frame.
During the restoration it became clear that the top was later attached to the frame, and that the original maker's marks were still visible under the top, see photos. The label on the frame (under the top) states that the frame was made in 1918 and presumably from Germany. Also, the original lettering “L.W. 6146 ” visible.
The existing top has been restored preserving the patina that has developed over the years and has been reattached to the original 1918 frame.
The frame is treated and provided with a protective thin oil layer, the top is provided with a protective furniture lacquer layer.
