Product description
Wim Motz (1900-1977) from Rotterdam only started his career as an artist at the age of 37. Motz took drawing lessons from Jan van Straten, who taught him what visual art is. From there, the trail led him from Impressionism to Expressionism and from pure abstraction back to recognizable reality. His works from the fifties and sixties are considered the best period. The artist quickly achieved success as an artist and exhibited in America, Canada, Switzerland and Belgium, among others.
Motz has also been a member of the ARA group (WerkCommunity Graphic Art Rotterdam), a group of artists who saw graphics as a means of making art accessible to the general public. Here he mastered the technique of lithography.
In the work shown here we see the artist at his peak. And a 'must have' in a retro interior!
You can view the work in advance in the treasury of gallery Rotor in Gorinchem or pick it up after purchase. Sales run through the Whoppah platform. The work can also be sent by registered mail.
If desired, we can carry out the framing work for you.
