This is a delightful dining table by Belgian architect/designer Pieter De Bruyne (1931-1987). It is made of Indian rosewood. The combination of the lacquered veneer and solid sides gives a nice contrast to the table top. The base is made of chromed steel and very sturdy because of its reinforced corners. This makes the table very stable. The table can be extended via a unique and ingenious sliding system (see detail photos). In compact form it measures L160 cm x W 85 cm and is ideal for 4 people . The height is the standard of +/- 75 cm. In its extended form, the table is 210cm long. The sliding system ensures not only that the table top can be extended in an easy way but also that 2 additional people with enough space can sit on the ends. A unique and beautiful table that exudes class and style through its design and luxurious materials.
