Vintage 1960s. Materials: Metal, glass. Vintage absinthe set consisting of an absinthe fountain and sugar bowl from the 1950s-60s. Used in cafés and bistros in France, the fountain was the water dispenser used to serve absinthe drop by drop on a sugar cube, with the sugar bowl holding the sugar cubes! The jar is in molded cut crystal, with a brass and gilded metal frame and lid. The fountain has its own tap, which we tested: the jar is leak-proof and the tap works without a leak. This is a rare set to find and one that will make a big impression on your guests! The absinthe fountain and sugar bowl are in good condition, with traces of age on the gilding (see photos) Made In France. Fountain: Height 40 cm / 15.7". Sugar bowl : Height 33 cm / 13".
