Product description
Vintage 1950s loveseat or two-seater in rattan. In terms of style, this loveseat is somewhere in between. It certainly exhibits the aesthetics of art deco, with its undulating contours and elegant lines, but the timelessness of the design is typically midcentury modern. Furthermore, the design is also strongly reminiscent of the work of Austrian architect and designer Paul Frankl, especially with regard to the so-called 'stacked rattan', which we see in the armrests and the base.
The sofa is in perfect (vintage) condition, as can be seen in the photos, and the original cushions are present. These are also in perfect (vintage) condition as far as the filling is concerned. However, the covers are somewhat old-fashioned and there is age-related wear here and there, so they would be better replaced. This is easy because of the zipper. This means that the old covers can also be used very conveniently as a pattern to make new ones. However, this is not really necessary. As can be seen in the photos, this two-seater also looks beautiful without cushions. Perfect for the terrace or patio, but also divinely beautiful and original for indoors. A real eye-catcher, and without a doubt a one-of-a-kind piece that you once bring into your home and then cherish for a lifetime.
