This mirrored chest of drawers is an original from the 1960s and consists of two elements: cabinet and mirror.
The surfaces are finished with mahogany and pear veneer. A glass top protects the shelf.
The cabinet consists of a hinged compartment and two drawers. These are made of plastic.

The Sylvia 448 dressing table, manufactured by VEB Holzkombinat Thüringer Wald, is a classic piece of furniture from the GDR. This functional chest of drawers made of wood and veneer impresses with its simple design and practical features with drawers and a mirror. An authentic piece from the time of the planned economy. After the reunification of Germany, many such companies were privatized or dissolved.

The mirror has occasional small dark spots, which do not affect the reflection. ➡️ Reconditioning: The furniture has been thoroughly cleaned. We clean and treat the wooden surfaces intensively with specially purified linseed oil in combination with an odorless and residue-free hydrocarbon solvent. This method is recommended by restorers.
