Product description
This highboard is an original from the 1950s and has a very high-quality finish. It was produced on 23.06.1954 in an art furniture factory in the town of Schleiz (Germany).
The cabinet consists of two components. The surfaces are finished with Makoré veneer (African pear tree) and burl wood. Shading in the veneer is applied by hand (furniture painting).
Five keys are part of the furniture. The rare amber-colored brackets for all the shelves are particularly noteworthy.
The upper element has a display case in the middle with a swinging glass door. The display cabinet includes two glass shelves.
A bar with mirror and glass shelves is fitted behind the left-hand swing door. Further storage space is divided behind the right-hand hinged door by two glass inserts.
The lower element consists of a left and right hinged door and two drawers inserted in the middle.
➡️ Size:
200 cm x 50 cm x 154 cm (width x depth x height)
➡️ Condition:
The piece of furniture is basically stable, functional and has no damage. Signs of use are present. There are only age-related defects on the two mirrors in the bar compartment.
➡️ Reconditioning:
The furniture has been thoroughly cleaned. We clean and treat the wooden surfaces intensively with specially purified linseed oil in combination with an odorless and residue-free hydrocarbon solvent. This method is recommended by restorers.
