Magnificent brutalist style centerpiece, work of David Marshall. Made of glazed ceramic in off-white color and with gilded bronze handles. It becomes both a decorative and practical design object, as it can be used, for example, as a cooler to present drinks. The rough surface finish, typical of the style to which it belongs, invites touch. Signed on the base.
Scottish artist, based in Spain. For the sculptor, his works must be effective and functional, in addition to satisfying a basic sensual and sculptural concept: the need to feel, touch, caress. Attracted by natural phenomena, many of his designs are inspired precisely by geological formations, ice patterns, fossils and degradation, the random shapes of nature where there are no straight lines; using the foundry process to try to replicate these phenomena.
A complete work of art and a sculpture in itself.
