Beautiful Murano bowl / ashtray, circa 1960 / 1970. Strong ruby red meets transparent glass at the bottom and is fused together using the Sommerso technique. A chemical process using real gold is used to create such a bright red glass color. Only after the glass has been fired twice does this beautiful color emerge. A beautiful collector's item. 5.5cm high 12cm diameter
