The GISO lamps are true design classics designed by the famous Dutch designer W.H. Gispen in 1926. The name GISO is an amalgamation of the name Gispen and the name of Gispen's first wife Anna Gisolf. In 1927, Gispen gained international fame when he participated in the "Die Wohnung" exhibition in Stuttgart with his geometric Giso lamps.
