A unique oriental cabinet. These cabinets are from the 1970s where there was a revival of Chinoiserie. In the mid-18th century, this style emerged where entire castles were filled with Chinese and oriental furniture and objects. So during the 1970s, this type of furniture was made and no one is the same. All the elements are put on by hand, so they always have an artistic touch.
You can clearly see the hand-painted lines. It is painted on all sides, even inside. This cabinet also has gold leaf used at the front, painted over this. The use of gold leaf makes the cabinet sparkle when the sun shines on it. The cabinet is painted with different flowers and plants, these are also slightly on top and give extra relief. On the sides, this is without relief. On the inside are simple bamboo painted. On one side I was able to translate the text "Flowers and birds are watching" it says here.
The cabinet consists of 2 cabinet parts, the upper one was used for the TV, you can turn and pull out this shelf, below it is a shelf that can be pulled out, I left these elements in place but can also be removed. The cabinet spaces can be closed with the magnetic doors and pegs. The bottom space has a shelf that can be set at 2 different heights.
In short a wonderful cabinet for an eclectic household.
