Product description
This striking brass antelope/kudu bust is very reminiscent of noted designer Karl Springer's work. An impressive and heavy brass sculpted antelope's head sits on a double ogee black marble base, with soft veins of black and grey. Naturally, the bust is complete with two tall twisted black patinated horns. There is a certain asymmetry to the piece, which reflect the organic nature of the subject.
This sculpture was produced in the USA in the 1970s, and you can imagine its minimal, curving lines situated in the extravagant mansions of the era. It would bring a touch of 1970s Hollywood Regency glam to any interior, vintage or modern, and would make a great centre-piece for any room.
Considering its age, this piece is in a good condition, with just a classic patina to it.
