This sturdy and stylish table base appears handcrafted and made from high-quality stainless steel. It’s a durable choice for dining tables, kitchen tables, or desk tables. Though originally used with a glass top, it can support any flat surface.
The base has been in my family for years. My dad first used it as a desk in 1997, and even then, he mentioned it was from the 1970s. I used it as a desk for many years until I accidentally shattered the glass top. Despite its age, it's in great shape and can be carried by one person, though it’s quite heavy.
If you're interested in customizing it, consider giving it a new look with a gold or black chrome finish. LAQUE (formerly Ton de Rooij Paint - spraying) in Holland can work wonders on furniture like this.
