Material: 3 cm thick solid oak, white powder coated laser cut steel, stainless steel flange nuts.
Design notes:
Häberli gave a subtle detail to the edge of the table top: the edges are not simply vertical, but their corners move outward at both ends, while they move slightly inward at the sides. This shape detail changes so naturally that you only notice it at second glance. As a result, the table top, although perfectly round, appears slightly oval because of the changing table edge.
The standout element of the stem table is the technical construction of the base. The light wood and laser-cut sheet steel feel refined and familiar at the same time.
The wooden legs are connected to the metal frame like the handle with a knife. Quoting this Swiss symbol par excellence - the knife - gives the table a recognizable and playful look.
The oval stem table was winner of the "Interior Innovation Award" on behalf of the German Design Council. The series was then completed with a rectangular and this round version.
The material and parts are ready at the factory and when ordered, the table is finished.
