Product description
This wall unit was designed in 1949 by Nisse Strinning for String design AB. It is a wonderful example of thoughtful Swedish design that earned it its place in Stockholm's National Museum. In 1954, String won a gold medal at the Triennale in Milan. All String items are unchanged since the first design and are easy to hang. This allows the rack to be hung and arranged as you see fit. It can then be further expanded with shelves and cabinets of different sizes where the side supports can function as bookends. The wall rack consists of - 3 metal side supports surrounded by plastic - 1 storage cabinet with key - 3 wooden shelves (depth 30 cm) - 2 wooden shelves (depth 20 cm)

The wall rack is in nice vintage condition with a few light scratches that are barely noticeable. At the shortest wall bracket the bottom hole is gone but this does not affect the sturdiness of the unit. At the bottom of the cabinet a small piece of veneer was re-glued but again this is not noticeable (see photo)
