Product description
Low "globe" lounge chair. Designed by Peter Opsvik for Stokke in the 1980s. This extreme design is a work of art in itself, while also being a very comfortable chair. The footrest and backrest extend like branches on a tree from a central column mounted on a circular base plate. The chair rotates on top of the central column. The seat height is 65 cm. Peter opsvik is known for his extravagant but ergonomic designs. Some of stokke's other iconic designs include the Gravity chair, the ekstrem (by terje ekstrøm) and the Globe's big brother, The Garden chair. The chair is still in very good condition. The upholstery of wood and black wool is very good. Only the black carpet on the floorboard has some wear. It can easily be replaced if necessary.
